My truck’s battery died, I called Highway Towing and Transportation. A gentleman who’s name I didn’t get get arrived way quicker than expected, gave me a jump start and I was on my way. Excellent customer service and great prices!

I had kind of a weird towing request and was having trouble booking a tow company for help. I called Highway Towing & Transportation, explained my situation and Carlos scheduled an appointment for the following morning. They were here on time, were so helpful getting my car towed and were very nice and friendly. I would give this company 10 stars if I could! We will always contact this company for our towing needs moving forward.
They took great care of my car and the driver was super understanding when the shop I called ahead to said they no longer had a spot for my car. He was willing to drive it to another shop and got it into a really tight alley.
I was in a hit & run recently and my insurance company dispatched out to highway towing to tow my car after all local companies refused. I could not be more pleased with the level of service and care I received. My driver, Rick, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and kept me updated throughout the process. Martin.c never met someone very friendly professional & energetic on doing their job. I am grateful that i got martin sent to me to tow my vehicle couldnt do it without his help. I truly recommend his work to anyone incase of an emergency.!!!
I got stuck in a ditch up in North Hayward and called these guys for help. They were great! The driver arrived promptly and skillfully pulled my car out without any damage. He was very reassuring and professional. The only downside was that the initial call took a bit longer to go through due to high call volume I guess. But given the great service, I would surely use them again if needed.

The guy arrived at a timely manner and was very helpful. He even made sure I was ok after by letting me know I could call him if the battery died again after he left. Price was reasonable as well.

One of the Fast and professional towing companies I've been doing business with so far. They answer the phone call right away and their prices are pretty decent. Last time I needed my car tow to the dealership in Belmont, they came pretty quick and dropped my car off within an hour. I will suggest this company if you need a car tow.
owner of the company left me stranded 3 times. he wanted to charge me $800 when my insurance approved my tow request 2 times. his workers made it very clear he was just being difficult. spoke to him over the phone and he lies and says it’s AAA who is denying but AAA makes notes it is approved. how can you leave someone stranded over night!

If I could give zero stars I would. Failed to furnish an itemized receipt when asked and they told me I couldn’t until I paid it off. When I paid my fees , they tacked on an illegal 75 fee for a lien charge that can added in after the third day. I had my car only in the yard for less than 48 hours. Talk about predatory practices.
they tow my car because i parked in a wrong place, not problem so far, but the guy there ask me for my key and he take some time to come back to the office then he bring the car out side, i check my car and i found they stole my phone from my driver door i came back to the guy and he got nerves giving excuses, i did the police report but there is no way i get my phone back. it is unfair they make you pay a lot of money to have your car back and they stole items from the cars. make sure you go with them before give the car key to them, do not let them alone with your car open.
I felt I had to write a review to share an experience I had with this shop in late 2015. My Lumina turned on, but it didn't run and could barely drive without turning off on its own. It couldn't drive up a hill and died loads of times. I towed my Lumina there. A day later I get a call and a receipt (thank god, they didn't charge me) saying that they ran the car and it ran smoothly with none of the problems I mentioned. How is this possible? My car couldn't even be driven without it failing every 10 seconds, yet they said it drove perfectly fine. IT WAS UN-DRIVABLE! I figure they didn't bother driving my car and wrote a BS response because they didn't want to deal with it. I brought it to Mr. Lee's and paid really cheap. Turns out the Engine module was the problem with it, causing major transmission failure! How is this UNDETECTABLE? Engine module failure is a HUGE deal. Bad service.
Have had good experiences multiple times my favorite tow guys in Hayward !

best towing company in east bay
The tow driver was painfully slow. No pricing was discussed nor an hourly rate. It was off peak hours. Once arrived at repair shop was quoted $600 and hung up by owner when I argued with pricing quote. Overall it was a terrible experience and I would recommend anyone else

This company has shown me hospitality and I'm very greatful, from the fellas towing my car making sure i was in good shape to drive home safely and new owners of the business Katie and her Husband providing beyond the call of duty service to help me when I was stranded which in turn pouring out an abundance of human kindness. They are hard working and take no sh%t, but still understand the everyday struggles that people go through, So im giving them 5 stars for being genuine and professional and moving this company forward with new management and direction that will lead to a bright future Thanks Guys you guys are solid♡♡
$112.50 for opening gate! $225 for the 10 minutes towing to your yard! $88 storage charges! $425.50 in 3 hours! How about if I left my car to the second day I think you will sale it
Get here before 5 pm the same day your car was towed. Will save you after hours fee - $112. Person on call will deliberately hide this aspect. If questioned even politely, owner gets impolite, aggressive and threatens higher charges.
Made me wait 3 hours to get a tow at 1 am and canceled on me last minute without telling me. Had to call my insurance company to figure out with the flip was going on. Bunch of levas
I'm not an angry person who got their car towed from this company. I actually would constantly recommend this tow company in the past but as a former loyal customer this tow company has really turned for the worst. I own 3 properties and these guys do their job only when it's convenient for them and charge astronomical high pricesseven when you give them tons of business. I've looked into their operation and actually file a formal commercial audit with the state to ensure EVERYTHING from their license to their drivers licensing including all their trucks , insurance etc is all up to date and legit . I've had many clients call me sayi m g nothing but horrible things about this All Day Towing they are unprofessional, rude and damage cars and attempt to blame the customers. I found out another of behind the scenes illegal matters they are committing from a former employee.

I cannot believe that the Hayward Police department contract with such a rip off Company like jack james tow service. There is absolutely NO empathy from these people on a bad situation getting worse than having to deal with Janine and pay $315 to get my grandsons car off their lot. My grandsons car was stolen. The Hayward police found the car 'crashed' in Hayward and used this 'contracted' business to tow the car and store it overnight for a whopping $315.00. Then it cost another $240 to get the car towed to a service station. WOW..there is no justice in this world and with people like the owners of Jack James obviously no humanity. I hope they sleep well at night knowing that they rip off folks who have nothing just to fatten their greedy pockets..Peace out!!
The lot super Rito treated me sub human after traveling 5 hours to retrieve personal items out of my vehicle after being victim of accident. Do not trust or use this company, trust the poor rating. I am filing BBB complaint specifically because of manager Rito and his deliberate attempt to withhold my personal items, including medications. Avoid this company at all costs.
Thank you Guys. Got a recommendation from Micheal out in CA Bear Collision. They had better rates for my situation plus they are based out in Hayward, where my rig needed to go. They where very easy to work with. I provided sizing and picture of my rig. They where able to tow the rig the next following weekday. They towed my rig with no damages and where able to get the job done quickly. They disassembled the drive train and towed the truck. I did have to meet the tow truck in person either for pick up or drop off to provide payment. All in all had a swift and easy time with them. Hopefully I don’t need any more tows but if I do they will be my first call.
Leticia will give you nothing but incorrect information. Service was bad to the point that we are considering legal action. Side note: if your car is stolen to go to the police department for a vehicle release form . Do not give this place a cent for the privilege of returning your stolen property!
READ BEFORE CONTACTING; Like many here state, they’re an absolute scam, no doubt about it. I don’t know how these people sleep at night but here we are. I hope I can give you info on how the keep the costs lower after our incident. If your car is towed off the road; get a release asap. Even though this place says it’s closed, still pick up the release from the police immediately. Our car was towed off our street when we were on holiday. Upon figuring out where it was, we were told on the phone this place was closed (4th of July) so we picked up the PD release form the next day. This was a weekend, we were still told they were closed. When we arrived on Monday (the door was closed on opening hours because he “forgot” to open them after lunch, but that’s another issue) we were told that you can pick up a car whenever, you just need an appointment. So we didn’t want to pay for the days they told us on the phone were “closed”. The guy told us to go to this HQ. When we explained the issue, they still said we didn’t “try” on the 4th cause the release is from the 5th. After a lot of heated back and forth he was going to cut the costs of the weekend off. When we agreed, he went back and came back and told us they gave us the “wrong fee” and it would still be more for our district. Meaning; we’re still paying almost exactly how much it was before the “generous discount”. Also fun to add, that because I was not going to let this slide and he kept changing my words to try and fool the situation, he just started ignoring me and spoke to my husband only. The guy is called Adrian, and he’s supposed to be the manager. Don’t be fooled, you CAN pick your car up even though they tell you otherwise on the phone! Additionally, if you made it this far, someone in line told us they scam people on accident tows too. The cop will name the price, but as soon as they leave, they’ll try and scam you by saying it’s wrong and it’s actually 3 times the price. When the person in line then called the cop to clarify, the cop TURNED AROUND, and came back to the accident site and yelled at the towing employee the actual price. You can find these prices online or the cop on site can tell you how much it is. Make sure you note it down as well as the officers name. I doubt the employees will ever read this, but dang. Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves scamming people in this economy. EDIT: after reading some “good” reviews, funny that it’s only when the car is going to be totaled (aka they’re not going to make any money off of you, that you have a good experience.)

SCAM ARTISTS. This is the worst tow ever. They state they are a family owed business. They obviously do not have Good Ole American family values. They told us prices are based off respect ?? WTH does that mean. They charged for two days of storage and only had the truck 8 hours they pulled the door panel off and drilled through the ignition instead of picking up the phone and calling the number on the note I left so I could tell them where I hid the key. I started the process of getting my car from them at 10 am on Friday and they continue to put me on hold and not call me back till I almost had to leave it for the whole weekend which would’ve costed more money. You’re at their mercy because they have your vehicle and they just take advantage of hard-working people. And because my car was towed from a parking lot because I had broke down, they treated it as a ““ impound when there was no police involved and told me that they would tow my car to a shop for $100 which I could put on my credit card but the other initial towing from the parking lot could only be paid by Venmo Apple Pay Cash app or Zelle, which tells me that they’re defrauding the government and not having to pay taxes on that money, somebody needs to put them out of business.
Terrible service. Lies about it hours of operations and tries to scam you out of hard earned money. Never get a tow from this company. Still waiting for someone to pick up the phone because they were supposed to CALL ME BACK but not instead I’m stuck hounding them for a response. TERRIBLE SERVICE. RUN!

The driver took my car that was supposedly staying in Sunnyvale and going literally 1 mile up the road to a Tesla dealership instead takes it all the way to Hayward 32 miles away. I jumped out of his tow truck for one minute and he just drove off with my car still on his flatbed, it was like nothing I had ever seen before. He then proceeds to go through everything in my car and bent my Tesla car key/folded it into four pieces (see picture below). Please never ever do business with them, there are so many other choices out there. Stay far far away from this business and you’ll be fine. This is a serious warning. This event actually just happened to me. If I could give them a negative star rating I would. It’s the worst business I’ve ever dealt with in my 36 years on this planet.

Unprofessional service with rude folks. I pity the housing complexs which employee them .both seems to be extorting money from customers by adding unreasonable fees . Looks like they survive on this .
Just like others have shared , I have the same experience. Company is a scam. I was out of town for a few days. I am a legal tenant/owner , Car was parked in a completely legal parking zone of the community but was towed. They couldn’t provide a reason why it was towed. Very rude in overall communication . My car didn’t even had a tag on, yet it was towed. Rule before towing is to have a tag on for at least one day. And there was no tag. Just for one day I was charged $550. And was forced to pay cash to release it. I have violated no rules no laws , yet was forced to pay such an exorbitant amount and again NO EXPLANATION on why it was towed
Parkside watch out! My neighbor was literally printing out the day permit when they swooped in and towed his sister's car in less than 10 minutes. It's $580 if you get your car towed. They charge gate fees even though the gate to the apartment complex was already open. They randomly come in looking for cars to tow. As a tenant, I will definitely call any other towing company if someone parks in my spot.
