My family and I have used Kenny twice now. He is an awesome guy. He has the cheapest prices in town and is as fast as can be. Amazing service blew a tire in my brothers ram and was stranded on the side of interstate near casino and bass pro, Connor made it his priority to stop and help us and not only did he make it his mission to make sure we were safe but got us where we needed and made sure everything was okay! Amazing service and even more amazing person thanks again!

One of their drivers got on I-80 right near this location and merged into me ~6 pm on 10/22/25. Luckily I didn't get in a serious accident but I had to swerve into the far left lane to get out of their way.
I had a flat tire as I arrived to work today. Central Iowa Towing was notified and in under 60 minutes they arrived, removed my flat, placed a temp tire and brought my tire into a dealer for repair/replacement. Jamie identified the culprit. Their service was prompt, polite, knowledgeable and overall excellent. This is what I call customer service. Jamie was amazing. Highly recommend. A++
Called these guys last minute to move 9 scissor lifts. Was a little nervous at first. The guys showed up knew exactly what they were doing got them all transported no issues. Couldn't have been happier with the work. Will definitely continue using them. Great job guys!
Super helpful service from both Zoey and Andy. (Apologies if I spelled any names wrong.) Called in a pretty panicked state yesterday but Zoey was able to dispel my concerns easily and promptly with a lot of understanding I wasn't quite getting from another towing service. Andy sorted the tow and drop off extremely quickly even though both the pickup and the drop were in kind of awkward spots. Amazing service all around, much love to them both.

I post very few reviews, but this company deserves one If you need a tow, this company is the one for the job!!! Starting from the phone call I made to them, they were polite and courteous; my second call they were just as polite and courteous. They gave me a price (great rate) and a time when they would arrive. These guys were prompt and charged me exactly what they quoted me. They also parked my vehicle right where I asked them to. The driver was very friendly, sympathizing, and polite too. This is a top notch towing company which I haven’t used in the past but I will use them again in the future for my towing needs. (But I pray I don’t have any more needs.) Thank you for taking great care of me.

Cannot say enough great things about this company and the driver Mike. We are in the process of moving from New Jersey. My daughter’s care broke down on I-80. We were towed to the one of the shops that Allstate had listed as a choice on their roadside assistance app. It was a metal barn in a cornfield. Mike and the owner would not leave us stranded. Made sure we were in a place that was safe and had hotels and restaurants. Don’t find that kindness to strangers very often. Great operation with great people!!

Absolutely the best! My daughter is in cedar rapids as a college student. After working all day at her part time job today, she had her truck die at the gas station. C and A towing was able to get a driver there in less than 30 minutes to jump start. Turned out there were more issues than that. They gave a recommendation for a mechanic that could work on the next day. Gave her a safe ride to her apartment and got truck delivered to shop for a very reasonable price. I live 2 hours away and was more than stressed at the beginning. The dispatcher and tow driver were fantastic and took care of the situation. There number is saved in my contacts now and I won't hesitate to use them again if needed.
Chris was very efficient and knowledgeable. He took his time to do the job right and protect our car as he towed it.

I'm so glad I found these guys ! We had been calling multiple places but everyone said it would be a couple days before they could squeeze us in for a tow which was so weird to me! I read C&A's reviews and knew this was the place for us ! My husband called and dispatch said he would send his driver back out he would be there in about 30 minutes because he had to go back to the shop to get truck when the driver showed up he was very friendly, nice and very professional! I wish I would have caught his name but to enlighten the situation I had some fun ! The driver backed our car out of the spot and drove it right up on the flatbed as he was going up I said weee and started laughing I didn't think he heard me but he must have because he smiled I was just trying to make light of having to get a tow to avoid crying we will definitely use c&a again and I will recommend them to everyone thank you so much y'all are amazing!

I called Perry’s Towing Service on 6/12/2012 because I was in trouble! My front left tire went completely flat so I gave them a call knowing nothing about the services they offer. I called and told them my situation, and within minutes they saved me! They towed my car to a tire repair center and they were a great help and at a great price. I’m from out of town, so I appreciated the fast service and honest service they provided. If I ever get into a jam again, they will be the only towing service I call. I have roadside through State Farm, and have had to use it a few times now. This time they sent Riggs towing to me, and this has been the best experience I’ve had! Answered and set up a plan to pick up my car and drop off at the mechanic. Called the next day and the lady was friendly and got my invoice sent right away. Appreciate them being available for service on a Sunday night.
Fast, friendly and affordable. Needing to have your car towed for any reason is due usually to an already stressful situation, and the guys that helped us both over the phone to schedule the pick up and drivers that delivered our car were all very helpful, professional and friendly. Hopefully I will not be needing their services again any time soon, but if I ever do, they will be my first choice.
We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional service provided by Wade from Happy Hooker Towing Company. Our son and his friend found themselves stranded in the middle of Pennsylvania late at night bc of a flat tire and Wade was truly a guardian angel. The gentleman from Hooker Towing was my hero. I was at Donutland and managed to lock myself out of my car with the keys and my phone in it. When the gentleman stopped at Donutland for donuts I asked him if he was a provider for my roadside assistance plan. He was not but unlocked my car and refused payment. Highly recommend

Your semi driver just passed me speeding on 100 street. This is a very dangerous situation especially with a company vehicle and a semi hauling a load. You probably ought to have a driver meeting. Accidents can cause injuries or death. Update that's why we have the internet to let companies know about bad experiences with employees without having to call and wait on hold. Apparently you seen this fast enough.

UPDATE 03/11/2025: After getting in touch with management at MAD J Repair & Towing, Inc. and upon reviewing the invoice, it was discovered that the invoice was erroneously prepared and tendered for payment. Management was super quick about revising the invoice, and sincerely apologetic over it being issued that way in the first place. The invoice was promptly corrected, and the refund issued. Mistakes can happen, and I certainly do not hold that against any company. Honesty and integrity is rare in the towing business, and their willingness to make it right earned them the extra 4 stars. They've gone from the DNU list to a preferred vendor. Thank you MAD J Repair & Towing, Inc. for the services provided. Would definitely use again. [ORIGINAL REVIEW 03/05/2025] I can't say they did not do their job, but they are exceptionally predatory in their pricing. The unit in the picture was winched out about 50 feet, off flat, frozen ground, unhooked, and the driver was able to drive away. There was nothing special about the tow. Driver was simply stuck in the snow in median after avoiding the the rest of the carnage on the road caused by blizzard conditions. The charge, $3,847.38 USD. Unfortunately for us, this tow was called in by Iowa State Police, and we did not have the opportunity to select our own tow company. Competitive quotes for the same tow were less than $800.00 USD. Our insurance captive (ARU) has added them to the Do Not Use list. I absolutely would not recommend this company if you have a choice.
Professional and timely manner repair service.
Did Job they was asked to, but the way they try to squeeze money from you is ridiculous.... first I had attitude when I asked for written estimate I was told I'm gonna have to wait it till tomorrow, when I told we wait, we got estimate in next half hour with things we did not ask to repair....they took that of the estimate but during repairs start pushing us to do more repairs, talking about safety when repairs not needed to be done....pushy all the way through the visit, very aggressive business tactics... Guys just do the job you asked, don't be greedy.
We were towed to MAD J.after a very scary accident on 35 with our small RV. We were so thankful for the kindness of your tow driver He showed great concern for our comfort and welfare. He allowed us to stay with our RV so we could take care of our dogs. We also needed to find medications etc in the interior jumble of our camper. Everyone at this business was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend there services.
Had an air line fitting break off the brake cannister on the trailer around noon during regular business hours. They got out there pretty quick and fixed it up. $175.00 Service Call $165.00 an hour with a 2 hour minimum = $505.00 to show up $26.00 shop fee (?) + $24.00 credit card charge = $555.00 to change a $29.00 fitting. It was 7.4 miles from their shop to where the truck was broke down at on Delaware Ave. in Des Moines. At a time when fuel is high and rates are a joke, here comes these guys. Should have shopped around but they were recommended by the warehouse we had doing a load rework. Nobody's fault but my own. Just saying, shop around.

Had to have my brand new Range Rover towed because it wouldn’t come out of park and these guys did a great job. Got it towed without any damage even though it couldn’t be put into neutral and dropped it exactly where we asked them to. Highly recommend.

Terrible company. Live at a townhome complex and got woke up 2:45 in the morning because my Yukon hung off the side of the driveway a foot and one of their employees was hooked up to it trying to tow it for that. Unbelievable
I got a new car and my temp tag fell off. They left a sticker on my car saying to fix it which I really appreciate because I guess they could’ve just taken it. It made me realize that my temp tag even fell so I could correct it , I’ve had terrible luck with crow tow illegally taking my car so the fact that Capital city actually had a valid reason to tow me and still gave me a notice to correct it impresses me. Thanks for being considerate and not money hungry like the other guys.

Claude is awesome! This is the second time I have called him and he is so reliable and helpful. He's a biologist/chemist turned entrepreneur, so he's smart and resourceful! He picked me up in a timely manner and was more than willing to take my car wherever I thought best. It's very stressful to have to have your car towed, but you don't have to worry with Elite Express!
Called them and their price for a two block tow was too high and then they gave excuses that their trucks gel up due to the heating up process. Got my car home by myself in below freezing temperatures. Bottom line if your a tow company your issues with your engines shouldn't be my problem in an emergency and I shouldn't have to pay for that. I wouldn't even put one star on this rating but I had to in order for this to post. For the record, this place sucks and deserves no stars....
I have an F350 diesel that sat for 5 days in the extreme cold. It was Christmas Eve and It would not start. My Insurance company sent out 4 other companies to start it in a four hour period without success. Elite came out and had it started in less than 20 minutes. He was friendly, knowledgeable and kind.. most of all he made sure I kept warm in the 5 below temperature. I can't recommend this company enough. I thank you Elite for everything. I am forever grateful.
My car had blown up and I had called my insurance company to have it towed. This company STOLE my car. Did not pick up the correct car. Then after calling all over Dallas county and the police to find it, Elite blew it off. I waited 5 hours in a panic calling everyone to find out. I had to file a police report. After they STOLE my car, they were going to make me PAY to get it to the correct location OR they were going to tow it BACK TO THE INTERSTATE. The man that I spoke with kept saying he had to talk to his manager about it, but refused to give me the managers information. I then called again and he had my number BLOCKED. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Extremely rude and unprofessional and they STEAL VEHICLES AND DONT REPORT THEM. They towed my car to a Car X for repairs because that’s what they were supposed to do with the other car, and CAR X caught the mistake and reported it.
I put my car in a unique position backing down my driveway. The first tow truck wouldn't even touch it. The driver took his time and skills to carefully lift my car and position it correctly so it put me back on the road. Expertise service. Wouldn't hesitate to use again.

I called and was told a hour.....I waited no one came I called back after a hour and a half then I was told 20 mins never the less I waited at my truck for 4 hours total It was a very simple we can't offer service Wich makes me wonder why couldn't I get service. Communication is everything. No worries they won't be a option ever again or anyone I know for that matter. And no one at arrow can be upset about my experience it shouldn't have happened. Im a paying customer.
REVIEW TWO 11-22-24: I needed have my SUV towed following a car wreck. Once again I was amazed at the prompt arrival of your driver Tony. He kindly suggested that I wait in the truck because of cold. Tony's truck was immaculate. Tony had car loaded and towed very quickly. He was professional and kind to me during a very stressful time REVIEW 2 My experience with this towing business was completely positive. Their driver, Chris, arrived extremely fast despite the heaviest fog I've ever seen. After changing my flat, he then went above and beyond by having me follow him on a treacherous country road to the highway. I don't have enough good things to say about this driver.

I called arrow towing because I had locked my keys in my car. I was told that someone could be there in about a hour to hour and a half. I told them ok that'll give me time to get some lunch across the street. I asked if I could get a call 10 minutes before arrival so I could make sure I was back from getting lunch. They agreed to let the driver know. I walked across the street ordered my food and was waiting for it and I received a call from the driver saying I'm on my way 10 minutes away. I asked if he would be able to wait if I wasn't outside as I hadn't even received my food I had ordered. He agreed. When the driver arrived I told him that was quick I was told hour to hour and a half. He responded by saying I have to come by this way to get a car so I thought I would get you on the way. Very pleasurable experience.

This towing service was incredibly dependable and competent. The guy was kind and took good care of my car. The whole thing went off without a hitch and was stress-free.
Stuck in the snow and had to contact a tow truck. The driver brought the proper tools and made sure I was safe before hauling my car. This firm is really professional, quick, and pleasant. I definitely recommend them for winter breakdowns.

Josh with Roy's Towing was wonderful. My battery was dead and I have Roadside assistance through State Farm. They sent Josh with Roy's out and he arrived promptly and got my car started. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend.

To the gentleman who helped me tow my truck I apologize I forgot his name. I honestly called five different companies yesterday and today two companies One told me they’re not available until tomorrow and no one would answer. They were too busy so I’m grateful this gentlemen was able to come and get my truck and was able to bring it to me. He is amazing worker and especially during this weather is cold and brutal. Joel was a great help getting my vehicle and trailer towed home safely. He was on time and has great rates.
Called them almost 2 hours ago he said it would be 70 for a mile and that he was on his way we have been at the car this whole time saw one tow truck from crow tow with a car on it we call him back and ask if he'd ever going to come he said he looked every where for us and couldn't find us we let him know exactly where we are and what car it is tried to call him back 15 minutes later he never answered the phone or replied to our messages every other tow company in town is 3 or 4 hours out and we both have to work early in the morning so thank you for that.
Joel was professional, friendly, quick, and so respectful when giving us a tow in the middle of the night. Thanks for making a stressful situation so much better, Joel!
I called him and then he randomly made me hang up and he called me from a different number. He told me to text him the address. I texted him the address. About 30 minutes later he said he was still waiting so I sent it to him again. Another hour later he still hadn't arrived, I called and he hadn't left yet. Someone randomly stopped by to help me out and managed to resolve my issue. The whole situation felt shady to me and it felt kind of unprofessional. The process wasn't communicated very well and we kept missing signals.
J&E Towing's service is exceptionally poor, marked by a complete lack of communication. My car suffered irreparable damage under their care, with the entire driver's side door torn off. Shockingly, they failed to communicate any information about the extent of the damage, and attempts to reach them by phone or text have been futile. To add insult to injury, I discovered my driver's side door panel in a tree near the towing scene, revealing the sheer negligence involved. It appears that they left my driver's door open during the tow, resulting in the catastrophic damage and rendering my car undrivable. The absence of communication regarding the harm inflicted on my vehicle is utterly unacceptable.

We had our new camper totaled in Monticello Iowa. Andrew and his staff were remarkable and made a tough situation. Much easier.
We moved here from Louisiana and therefore didn’t know many people here in Hiawatha yet at all and my Jeep needed to be jumped off so I could take my grandson to the doctor. Seeing as how Darrah’s is RIGHT NEXT DOOR to where we live, my husband calledthem for help. They were just opening up for business and the lady on the phone told my husband that someone would be here within the next 30 minutes or so. A neighbor finally realized that we were having trouble and jumped us off thankfully, because nobody had shown up to give us a jump from Darrah’s over 2 1/2 hours after my husband called. we were highly disappointed as would anyone be. But we also saved ourselves $65, which is ridiculous to say the least.
Quick service and very fair priced compared to competition in the area. They will get you taken care of. People only want to bash the place when their vehicles get impounded or sent there by police. They have no control on that they just do their job they are given at set fees. They get a lot of grief that doesn’t belong on them.
This review is based on an interaction while picking up a vehicle on behalf of an insurance company. Is it really necessary to deprive people of basic accommodations like ventilation or climate control? The hallway was completely sealed off from the employee area, with no airflow and no relief from the heat — just a small window in the door to exchange paperwork. On a 90° day, that’s not just uncomfortable, it’s unacceptable.
Received good service here! was told my place in line and they communicated clearly. They got my vehicle to my house and placed it where I asked him too. very well well done and Efficient!

Had the unfortunate need…. They were more than great! Helped me find a local place to have my Range Rover towed, instead of towing it to Des Moines… saved me $400 and made them $400 less… they put the customer first! Rare to find! Great job and good people.
My car was towed from it's location without my permission or knowledge or warning. When zi tried to get it back, the wanted $1000. I didn't even have a chance to get it towed to a garage to get fixed.

I called them yeah because my car was stuck in the middle of the expressway and I was willing to pay whatever and I called 5 times and he answered once and hung up mid call I called back the other 4 times he sent me to voicemail. I called the other number he has on the voicemail and it wasn’t taking calls. Long story short shouldn’t even be a towing company
How is an impound lot not going to allow people that cant get there vehicle out them to get a property release
Great guys to work with, have picked up my lowered vehicle multiple times (unfortunately for me), but helped me without hesitation and were super fair priced.
If I can give zero star I would do. I had very bad experience with those guys. My box truck was empty and got stuck in the ice like five or six feed from the street. The police officer called them and then I called them after 20 minutes. After pulled me out with no effects, they asked me to pay $896 the driver said that because I called them twice. Next day ater I called some other towing companies and they said they can charge me between $100- $200. I called them back and they asked me to send photos of the location then they agreed to refund me $250 but they never did. Instead, the kept playing games like we forgot, then you have to come to pickup the check, then lastly I went there but they said someone came and collected the check. I don't recommend dealing with them.
They were very nice on the phone, the driver called me before he showed up. It was very professional and loading my vehicle. Very courteous. I would use them again.

I am writing this review to warn others about Crow Tow's extremely unprofessional and questionable practices. My vehicle was parked on my own designated private property when I happened to look outside and saw a Crow Tow truck attempting to hook it up. This company does not service our area, and yet they were trying to tow my car without any authorization or valid reason. It's clear they were acting in bad faith. If I had not caught them in the act, my car would have been illegally towed from my own place of employment. This is not a mistake; it is a predatory business practice. Avoid this company at all costs. Do not trust them to be fair or honest. They appear to be looking for any opportunity to tow a vehicle, even when they are not authorized to be on the property. Be vigilant and watch your property closely if they are operating in your vicinity. In response to the owners comment. I was not parked anywhere that you are contracted to tow from. I AM THE MANAGER there. There was no wrong doing on my end. I am parked in the carport at the property I mange. By the way, it is private property.
As usually you are incorrect, I am in fact a customer against my will, with a receipt. Went in for a cup of coffee and come back to my car vanishing. The scantily posted lot turns out has residents “getting tow all the time” your staff’s quote. Researching the topic, come to find out there is a real need to reform our towing laws. As a concern citizen, I took advantage of my constitutional right to inform my state representatives of my experience and countless others and how laws need to be changed to protect citizens of this wonderful state.
I had an incredibly positive experience with Cameron from Crow Tow and felt compelled to share it. Cameron went above and beyond to ensure not only that a challenging situation was resolved, but also that I was safe and informed throughout the entire process. That level of care and professionalism is rare, and it made a huge difference in a stressful moment. He clearly knows his job well, and his ability to think on his feet made a tough situation look easy. Huge thanks to Cameron and the Crow Tow team for outstanding service. If you ever need a tow, I highly recommend asking for him!
Got to work at 8:30am in this housing development and saw 2 cars parked in front of the mail box parking spaces so I parked there as well. I didn't see the sign because a car was parked in the spot where the no parking sign is in front of and i parked next to that one. Came out on break and saw the sign so I moved over to the legal parking space in the pictures. Around 12:45 I'm told my car is being towed. They drug my car from the legal parking space and ruined my tread on my new tires. Driver was just doing his job and these crooks told him to charge me 260 to drop it still even though they towed me from a legal parking space. There's a reason their rating is garbage like their company. *Reply to "owner"... you still towed me from a legal spot. When your truck got there, I was not parked in the no parking zone so he shouldn't have drug my car out and damaged my tires. Duh, nobody likes getting towed. Stop spewing the same rhetoric on every post. You have zero defense for this. Your driver agreed its not right but your office is the one who still charged me. Doesn't matter who called. Is it normal practice to damage a vehicles tires and possibly transmission prawl from dragging it out of a legal spot? I know your company lied on the phone and said it wasn't dragged which is laughable.
